The natural grey colour is very rare compared to the other natural colour variants. Additionally, they are absolutely unique. No two natural grey sheepskin rugs look that same, there are subtle or bigger difference that set them apart from each other. The colours and patterns range from dark grey colours that are close to black to much lighter grey tones that are combined with white. In between those variants there are many tones and patterns. Some grey variants have some white to them and some even have slight brown colours.

As previously mentioned, natural grey sheepskin rugs are very rare. This becomes especially apparent when compared to the white variant. For every 100 natural white sheepskin rugs from Iceland there is one grey variant. This is the main reason for the price difference between the two variants and for the low numbers that can be found of this product.

Icelandic sheepskin rugs have beautiful long wool with a hair length of about 15-20 cm (6-8 inches). The wool is smooth and soft, and the sheepskin is very durable. It doesn't require a lot of maintenance, as the natural wool fat keeps the sheepskin clean. We recommend regular shaking, and occasional brushing and hoovering on the lowest setting, in order to maintain the fluffy appearance. Small stains can be washed out quickly with a damp cloth or, in case they have dried in, can be brushed out with a sheepskin brush. Furthermore, the sheepskin can be used both inside and outside, as the natural colour can tolerate sunlight without any problems.
